I think "cheddar" flavored kale chips would be delicious! Spicy chipotle sweet potato chips would also be great!

Third Street Chai, located in Boulder, CO, microbrews organic chai, iced tea, yerba mate and lemonade concentrates. Third Street creates their delicious tea/lemonade concentrates in their eco-friendly facilities that are 100% wind-powered. Additionally Third Street composts 100% of their ingredients with the help of local farmers in Boulder County. Third Street also uses high quality Organic and Fair Trade Certified ingredients to produce all of their products.

Third Street Chai was kind enough to send me a variety of samples of their products to review.

The samples included:

Ginger Lemonade

Authentic Chai

Spicy Ginger Chai

Pomegranate Green Tea

Peach Black Tea

All of Third Street’s concentrates are lightly sweetened and are easy to prepare; all you need for the chai is some tasty almond milk (or your favorite milk) and for the iced teas and lemonade water! I quickly became obsessed with the ginger lemonade and it was the first to go (and far to quickly I must say). I loved that it wasn’t too sweet like most lemonades and had a nice gingery bite.

As for the chai I have only tried them hot, since it is getting to be winter here, and I enjoyed both of the flavors. Of the two chai’s the Authentic was my favorite and the Spicy Ginger the Hubz favorite. I found the Spicy Ginger a little too peppery for me. To make the chai latte I heated half chai and half almond milk in a pot on the stove and served. I attempted to make a foam with a whisk but failed; I really need an a frother to make some good foam.

Lastly the iced teas- these were my least favorite. I am lover of iced tea but I like mine strong and unsweetened. The fruit plus the added sweetener made these a little too overpowering for me. My dad who tried the peach black tea agreed that it was good but a little too sweet.

Overall my husband and I were huge fans and Neil is now on a search for a 64oz super concentrate so he can have chai lattes all the time (within reason).

Have you tried Third St Chai? What is your favorite beverage?

Disclaimer: Third Street Chai provided me with a sample of their products to review, and I was under no obligation to review it if I so chose. Nor was I under any obligation to write a positive review or sponsor a product giveaway.

The Tea Spot has “modernized the loose tea experience. Infusing tea traditions with modern design, our eco-ethical STEEPWARE® offers unique loose tea steepers that make tea brewing simple & stylish. Our full leaf teas include organic and Fair-Trade Certified™ estate teas & signature blends. Committed to giving as we grow, 10% of each sale is donated in-kind to cancer wellness & community programs. So drink up & feel good about it!” (source)

The Tea Spot sent me a great steeper called the Tuffy Steeper. It is a collapsible silicone steeping basket. I love that it folds right up and I can take it anywhere.

They also sent me some teas to test out in my Tuffy Steeper:

Green Roasted Mint: I loved this tea! This tea is warming and not just because it was hot. The mint is delicious and so much better than those other mint teas.

Monkey-Picked White: This tea has a great hint of apricot and a light buttery taste. It is great in the morning with some toast and jam. I bet it would be great iced as well.

Boulder Blues: I really enjoyed this as a dessert tea. This green tea is combined with strawberry and rhubarb flavors. This would be great in the summer warm for breakfast or a nice refreshing iced tea on a hot afternoon.

Meditative Mind: This is the The Tea Spots best seller. I really wanted to like this tea but the hint of rosebuds was a bit too floral for me, however it did smell great!

Rishi Tea sent me their Rishi Masala Chai, Organic Wild Rose and Organic Mandarin Citrus. My husband is a huge fan of chai tea and was excited to try this one. It is described as “a robust and full-flavored black tea blended with traditional masala spices.” We enjoyed this tea with some unsweetened almond milk and stevia.

The other teas that I tried were both white teas the Mandarin Citrus and Wild Rose. I enjoyed the Mandarin Citrus described as “Jasmine scented white teas hand blended with Australian lemon myrtle leaf, mandarin orange and grapefruit.” This tea was light and refreshing, a great morning tea.

The Wild Rose is a white tea infused with wild harvested roses. I am not a huge fan of floral teas and this one was just too over powering.

I look forward to trying some of the other interesting teas that Rishi has to offer.

Even though I'm not crazy about hot tea, I do enjoy a good cup of hot chai every now and again.

mmmm I love me some tea!! Anyway, I stumbled upon your blog from the Tropical Traditions website :) I've been looking for some good vegan/vegetarian cooking blogs as DH and I are vegetarian. If you get a chance, it'd be great if you could stop by my new blog...it's about our journey into eco-friendly living :) Thanks and I love your blog!
